Bewl 15 and Cranleigh 10k now live

The two main events from the weekend are now live and ready for viewing:

Cranleigh 10k here: http://gallery.sussexsportphotography.com/a.tlx?k=27ezft1

A busy weekend Mick was over at Cranleigh covering the 10k south downs link route whilst Anthony, Hannes and Vicky went over to Bewl for the 15 mile route around the Water. In the meantime Mike spend the evening at the Borde Hill 80's music festival - Belinda Carlisle, Tony Hadlee and Rick Astlee included in the line up there - a selection of his pictures will be uploaded sometime soon.

Back at the office on monday to get through all the images, edit out the out of focus images, number them up and get them online for you...only about 8000 this time. Phew ! Bed at 1:40 am last night - and made the gallery live at 8am. Who said this is easy ?!?!!?

Some people write race reports for their club - but never request their own photos for the paper - so if you're wondering what the Horsham Joggers scribe looks like - here he is in action !
It got quite busy at the 4 mile mark across the Bewl Dam - dusty and windy it was one of the harder stretches of the race (except perhaps the hills!)
Hannes went for the camoflaged low down view and experimented around the 8-11 mile mark - you may not have seen him, he was lying about for about 3 hrs - not asleep - but holding that camera and lens up - which is hard work !
Some of you were happy to be near the finish - others just relieved - and rightly so - 15 miles in that heat and dust is a challenge. The Brass Band and free cake at the end I'm sure did something to lift the spirits for many of you though ! WEll done to Wadhurst Runners - the race event page is here:

Cranleigh has a 3k fun run and the 10k - starting along the very shady downs-link path it sets a challenge not only for the runners - but also technically for the photographer - backlit when not in the shade and then also in the shade - which is quite dark ! Mick did a pretty fine job in these tricky conditions !

The Cranleigh Race pages are here with the results: http://www.cranleighrunners.com/

As always with all our orders we correct and finish each photo when they are ordered - so rest assured - whatever the event - if faces are a bit shady or hats obscure things - we have the technology to balance these out in keeping with the image itself (it won't look like a stitch-up!)

If you're a local Sussex person - get yourself over to Steyning for the Roundhill romp on wednesday - there's only 500 places and registration closes at 7pm for a 7:30 start in the high street. See you there !

Anthony
