The Organisers team, waving the flag at the start
Profits from photo sales are shared with the organisers charities, so help us to raise even more funds for good causes. In the last twelve months Sussex Sport Photography has raised and donated over £2000 to charities with your help, so please help us to continue this good work.
The carefully controlled start ensures a safe ride
Four photographers were involved in covering this years event - from 7am at Esher college all the way down to the Finish line at Hove, over six different locations and 35,000 images were taken on the day. The weather played out perfectly, with the wind dying out overnight and the partial cloud cover keeping the heat off the riders until they broke the summit at Devils Dyke and made it down to the sunny seaside.
The Morph Boys and their modified BMX with sidecar
Over 1100 riders set off from Esher on their way to Hove, with alternative starts at Hove for the circular route and near Haywards heath for the 30 mile route.
Here's a google map of it: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?msid=207789942818943863775.00044508175219f801c3c&msa=0

The latest estimate is that over £250,000 has been raised already by the 2011 ride, so very well done to everyone involved and congratulations to you all on completing the ride.

Please read all the search instructions, as with the best will in the world - helmet numbers can't always be seen in the images. It should be pretty easy to browse through the folders and locations on the gallery to find yourself if you can't find yourself at a particular location - and anyway - we now know you like a challenge.

All the best and well done to everyone on completing the ride !

Until next time,
Anthony
