The May Bank Holiday weekend 2013

The sun finally shone, the trees blossomed, the smell of coconut suntan lotion in the parks, and the summer racing series began. Judging by the forecast - that was summer, and the weather is going back to autumn soon, so get the memories of your great races soon ! If you made it out for a run, in a race or not - I hope you got some seriously well deserved vitamin-D as a result of it.

In one of the busiest weekends of the year so far with over 9 events, we're still just finishing off the last one here, otherwise everything else is now live - here's the list and line up so far !

Lots of pictures will be posted in the next one when I have half a chance - priority is on getting the last gallery live first...which I know you would prefer if you were waiting for the last gallery ! So lets get on...

All smiles at the start of the weekend at East Grinstead and the Sussex Living Marathon weekend.

Hi Jan !! (always nice to be recognised by your friends!)

Hi Scott !! (Hope he enjoyed his run instead of a day of photography)

Numbers on the front, or face running around the whole course looking like this... it's the new Munch Scream of the running world

Yes. What were you thinking ? Well at least you had the wisdom to do the half.

By the end it had gone all dandelion

Sub 6, the mythical target of the ultra marathon runner...

All good at the Steyning Tri

Sponsors team from Mansel McTaggart got well into the races, this is not Lou Carpenter.
To compare, this IS Lou Carpenter from Neighbours.

Still all smiles at the end of the third race in Burgess Hill !

Look at that view !!, but you had to earn it the hard way !!

Great running at the home race

Good form from an early age

only a few in the race to get then...

See, I take my job seriously, here I am seen weighing up the best spot, landscape, background, context and light conditions. And where my next meal is going to come from...

Running along the towpath is always nice at Richmond

Water of life, tapping into the whole race vibe at Marlow.

Victory is yours!
Right, we've got the Watford 10k to get through tomorrow, about 25,000 images to look at one at a time and make sure everything is ok and good to go. Our target - 2pm online - so I'd better get some rest as it's 1:30am now...

night !, until next time enjoy the first gallerys of summer,

all the best
