After a four days of playing and resting with the two bank holidays the Worthing 10k was probably a bit of a shock to the system for many. The new location and route put together by Gavin the Race Director seemed to be well received - the 5k lap route giving people some respite from the wind. At least it didn't rain like last year, and with the multi-lap approach it gives supporters and team mates the opportunity to egg each other on .
Race results can be found on the Worthing AC website here:  http://www.worthingharriers.com/

It really was nice conditions on last wednesday evening

Jason, the route is the other way

James Baker winning and setting the new course record in 33:01

Robbie James - virst Vet home in 34:53

The new course out on the road was good for race pacing and positioning

Good running into the last corner on the new finish start line area

A good fancy dress effort from Gary Sillience in 1:12:36

On Sunday 10th June the Norwood Junior Bike ride took place in Elstree, following a new route for the 10 and 5 mile routes from the Haberdasher Askes School.
Cutting west around the airfield and then back around the fields and trackways in the countryside fields about 300 cyclists took on the Norwood Challenge to raise money for the charity. http://www.norwood-challenges.co.uk/
Many of the Juniors found the terrain a new experience and enjoyed the day - blessed by a lack of rain !!

Enjoying a wonderful day out
