Deal Half Marathon 2015

The race photos from the Deal Half Marathon are now live and online here: http://bit.ly/Deal-Half-Gallery-2015

After a few weekends of freezing conditions and the constant threat of snow, Seb and Tony were up early and out in the glorious winter sunshine and early clear blue skies. Deal is a beautiful area of Kent with rolling hills and narrow lanes. This made for some fabulous backgrounds and context for the races photos.

Overall Winner was Steve Hodges #324 from Cambridge Harriers in 1:19:14 followed closely by Theo Bately #92 from race hosts Deal Tri Club in 1:19:35.  Ben McGhee #214 also from Deal Tri Club was third man in 1:20:29.

In the women's race Kerry Scott #2 of Arena 80 came back in 1:32:45 for the win, ahead of Deborah Jeffery #52 of Folkestone Running Club in 1:36:14 and Chloe Phillips #209 in 1:37:44. They were in 22nd, 32nd and 38th position overall respectively.

Did you run the event Watford Half or the Events to Live Bookham 10k? If so, check out our your photos here:

Next weekend we are back in the mud of another Brutal 10 event, this time near Bagshot. The Canicross has already sold out but entries are still available for those who wish to run with only two legs.  Forecast is sunny and very mild, let's hope that lasts!

Well done everyone, don't forget to book up before the races sell out (as they all inevitably will)
Until next time,

Tony (no not Anthony, the other one in the office)
