The Watford Half Marathon 2015 and the ETL Bookham 10k

The race photos from both the Watford Half Marathon and the Events To Live Bookham 10k are now live.

With cold conditions forecast for Sunday and the potential for some snow, the race organisers had a keen eye on the weather this weekend.  Both races went ahead as planned in chilly conditions although for the Bookham 10k in particular contingency plans had to be implement - see the race director's report here for more insight.

The Watford Half was run on a new route this year to avoid a section that has suffered with flooding in previous years.  There was some fast racing with Paul Martelletti going one better than in the last two years to take the win in 1:06:52 from Yared Hagos, who was defending the title he had held for two years and finished in 1:07:13

Conditions on the course in Bookham were very muddy although the puddles on Admiral's Walk weren't quite as deep as last year, they still proved challenging.

Here's a selection of images from both events for you:

Well done to all involved in the organisation of both events and everyone who took part.

This weekend we'll be at the Deal Half Marathon, entries are available on the day for this race through the Kent countryside, all the details you need can be found here: Deal Half Marathon.

Until next time,
Sally.
