London Pride 10k and Worthing Triathlon update

Hello to you this fine morning. I hope you had a good weekend and enjoyed the lovely weather - some fatastic sports on tv - did you see the triathlon or the athletics ? no ? I think it's on the BBC still - try here, apparently it's unmissable...
The london Triathlon: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00m6xsx/Triathlon_World_Championship_Series/

The World Championship Athletics: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00m9gl2/Athletics_World_Championships_2009_Day_2_Part_1/

Just a quick note to upadate on the two main events for us from the weekend (after the above two) - namely the London Pride 10k, that took place on Saturday in Victoria Park, London and the Worthing Trtiathlon on Sunday Morning.

London Pride 10k 2009

We have approximately 10,000 pictures to edit down and catalogue by race number from the London Pride 10k, obviously this takes a bit of time with over 20Gb of data to sort through as well as a video of the Start to edit/splice and get onto Youtube at some point - hopefully soon... we are about half way through this editing so everything is on schedule.
The target for this event is monday morning and the gallery is located here when it is ready :

The official race website is here: http://www.londonpriderun.org/ and congratulations to Matthew and the team as well as Victoria Park Harriers on another great event raising money for
the UK based charity the London Lesbian & Gay Switchboard. Sales of our photos go towards raising even more for the charity so that's another good excuse to get your picture from us !

The Worthing Triathlon 2009
Just back from that race this morning, absolutely perfect conditions for the swim and then only a light breeze through the rest of the race organised as well as ever by Mick, Nigel and Steve from Raw Energy Pursuits. http://rawenergypursuits.co.uk/

Some great racing from everyone involved, with Mr Colin Dixon winning again and a fab run from Sarah Wigmore to win the Ladies and Junior race title - great preparation for Australia !

I have no idea how many images, but about 5,500 on my cameras around the swim and run finish plus the Bike photos that Triss took over towards furlong gap / Findon way should add that total up a bit. With no numbers on the swim exit I'll organise those as best as possible by groups for easy browsing (I'll still take out the uggers though !) , otherwise we should have everything else for easy searching by race number. You now have the facility on the website to tell me what the race number for a photo should be - so please use it !
The gallery is going to be here when it's ready : http://gallery.sussexsportphotography.com/a.tlx?k=2qlzepn

Unfortunately I think I managed to cook my flash bulb on the water swim exit (always nice to have a bit of fill flash - but we have yet to see) so that's a large bill from Canon Service UK in the near future...

Timeline for the Worthing pictures is Tuesday morning - so register for email updates for this news blog and be the first to know when they are online - probably about 2am when I'm finished through them...
Alternatively follow our twitter updates here on http://twitter.com/UKSportPhoto

We use the twitter feed for up-to-the-minute updates, including at event comments and the odd picture, and the blog for more substantial updates and event reay announcements - they go out to registered subscribers between 8 and 9 am if there is a new one - so you can have something friendly to read in your work inbox !!

So that's the end of this update, best get back to cataloguing those photos for you - I'll watch the BBC coverage later - let me know if Bolt wins the 100m by the way...
