In a weekend of fine weather the first of the races on Saturday went off smoothly, the last of the Brutal 10 races at Frith Hill near Frimley, as well as the fast and flat F3 Events half marathon at Dorney lake, Windsor.
It was a day with polar opposite of choices - flat and fast on the tarmac in the open round some water, or 15 hills, off road, in the woods.with cam-cream. and some dogs (their barking adding a particularly gladiatorial "unleash hell" feel to the race).

See if you can tell which race the photos are from below:

Running - it's good for you - thumbs up all round

she likes running too

racing hard round the tented village

This chap lead for all four laps, but missed out on the win

the long view down the lake

loosing count of your laps ? not good.

one more lap to go, or is that all 4 done ?

in a hurry to get home to watch the rugby no doubt

big thumbs up

phone me when you can (but not from the car)

raging bull

sunglasses always help to finish the camoflage look, now seen on the knightsbridge road

The Bolt made an hounourable appearance

hard work up the last hill

cam-cream doesn't wash off, it just smears ok? Tell your Boss on Monday.

stay hidden from the enemy and approach with care

Great running up some tough hills
So, in some impish urge of craziness today we covered the Brentwood half marathon and the Cranleigh 15-21 races. There's about 45,000 images that need indexing, editing and captioning - which we do by hand to make sure it's done properly (no out of focus badly composed images left in our galleries!)

So until we're through the best of the races from the weekend, train safe, and go carefully, enjoy the weather and the dawn of spring, because right now - from where I'm looking at the BBC news - things could be considerably tougher.

Until next time
Anthony
