The Anthony Maynard Sportive Ride - raising money for 3 charities, and covered by swarbrick.com is now live and online here, with profit share back to the charities from sales:

Heavy passing showers were the signature of the sundays events, with bits of blue sky interspersed with the heaviest and darkest of gray. Frankly I was glad not to be playing in The Open at Sandwich as I've never been that good at handling links wind, so just as well I didn't qualify and could spend the time working at the photography and earning a living. Also just as well my policy of turning up early worked yet again, as I arrived at Marlow as the first wave started their swim in the river. Not quite sure why I thought the first wave started at 7:30, but just as well I had got up at 5am and arrived at 6:45 when it did. That's two pieces of luck in one day then.

Well done to everyone competing  in the tricky and unseasonally cold conditions for mid-July. Here's a small selection from the galleries for you below. I'm hosting the event gallery for swarbrick.com and doing all the post-processing and back-office work for them. Perhaps this will build into an ongoing service I can provide for event photographers - so if you are looking for a gallery fulfilment service then let me know.

A few highlights:
Wet on the run into T1, unlikely to get wetter, until the bike ride at Chichester

Torrential rain and riding in a river of rain at Chichester
Airplanes over Chichester - but I have to advise against hands free cycling
Excellent Airplanes at the Chi Tri finish

Start of the Olympic swim wave in the River Thames at Marlow

Competitive racing out of the water into T1
Enjoy and see you again soon, either the Phoenix 10k on wednesday evening at Hove (full), fingers crossed for a dry one.
For Sunday it's the Purple Patch Marlow to Windsor "Down Tow up Flow" Half Marathon (full), or the Haywards Heath Harriers Downlands Running Festival with an ultra or 5 mile option - places still available with easy parking and great views from the top of the south downs.
Otherwise it's the last week of school term, so best get some things done before chaos descends...

until next time, and enjoy the galleries,
Anthony
