Pride Run 10k now live

The gallery for the Pride Run 2011 is now live here: http://gallery.sussexsportphotography.com/a.tlx?k=18ozh19

The galleries for the F3 Events Triathlons, Aquathlon and Swims at Dorney Lake are still being processed and will be available soon and I'll send an update when they are.

Another great turn out for the annual Pride Run 10k in London's Victoria Park with over 830 runners completing the race.   This year the event was joined by two celebrities, Welsh rugby international Gareth Thomas and Egghead's CJ De Mooi, who both got the race underway, with CJ staying on to present the awards.

And they're off

Great conditions on the day for racing with the rain holding off till after the presentations.  The traffic free flat course gives opportunity for fast times and the leaders delivered, Paolo Natali took an early lead and won the race in a speedy 31:35 with the first female, Cathy Ansell finishing in 35:21, 19th overall.  You can see the results here:  http://www.pride10k.org/home.html

As usual the London Frontrunners had an excellent turn out in the race and vest for Manchester and Oslo Front Runners were also spotted.  This year the race is supporting the The Albert Kennedy Trust http://www.akt.org.uk/

Well done to all involved on another excellent event, always highly rated on Runners's World, perhaps one to add to your race calendar for next year... go rate it here: http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/events/viewevent.asp?sp=&v=2&EN=61927&ms=
Not sure it can beat last years rating, but give it a go !

Next weekend is a combination of 10k races at the fantastic Arundel 10k, The Hard As Snails, (both with sponsored image downloads) and also the high quality professional service at the 3rd Team Lifestyle Bexhill Triathlon.

Until next time,
Anthony
p.s. 4th birthday went off smoothly !! (thankfully) I almost turned into Homer and the pinata, but held back...
