This was the 4th running of the ETL Surrey Badger Half Marathon and the first time it was staged at the Denbies Wine Estate which provided a great backdrop for the event and excellent facilities for the runners and spectators as well as improving route safety.
The majority of the race takes place off road in the scenic Surrey Hills so it is probably not a PB course for your half marathon, but one you want to do better than last time ! Fortunately with good track access it was possible to drive to several early locations on the course and get back to the finish just in time to catch the winner crossing the line (after putting in a comedy sprint from the car with all the camera kit to the finish line - much to Nickys' amusement).

The overall winner was Vincent Kamp in a time of 1:16:25 an age grading of 78.02% and first lady home was Claire Grima of the Wimbledon Hercules club in a time of 1:25:20.
