The
2012 Basingstoke half marathon is now live and online here:

With an awesome 1:04:09 winning race time from Kenyan Andrew Lesuuda the course record was well and truly beaten and set to a level that will be extremely difficult for it to be broken in years to come. Over 1300 runners took part in this years race, which was up into the misty mountains to the south of the Town as the sun gradually burnt off a very heavy early morning fog. Perfect running temperature.
Just to add to the excitement of the day Agnes Chebet took the womens race course record in 1:19:20 so with both these new records it firmly cements Basingstoke as one of the half marathons in the south for some serious record challenges to be laid down.
The

Over 140 competitors lined up on the Ergos to take on the non-swimming triathlon of the year. Now in it's 18th year it proved as tough as ever, with the 4000m long row course taking the winners Hugh Mackenzie in 1:07:45 and Ingrid Robinson closed it out in 1:22:24.
