After a few years absence we returned to again cover the Crowborough 10k on a bright, chilly Sunday morning. A car failure yesterday necessitated a re-jig of the plan for who was shooting where, Sally went over to Crowborough and Mike joined Anthony and Hannah for the Hogs Back race and the babysitter got an extra hour lie-in because of it.
More importantly the Crowborough 10k is the last of the Sussex GP 2012 races - so points were up for grabs for teams on the hunt.

Ben Tickner of Brighton Phoenix lead from the start round the hilly two lap course to finish in 0:33:30, 90 seconds ahead of second place The Bradford brothers put on a bit of an effort to come second and third for Lewes AC with 42 seconds of brotherly rivalry still burning away. Tina Oldershaw of Paddock Wood AC was the first lady finisher, 22nd overall in 0:39:28. A total field of 386 finishers climbed their way up the last 50m of hill to the finish line this year.
For those who were disappointed by not running through the ford, check out the Brutal 10 on Saturday 8th December, you'll be guaranteed to get your feet wet !
