All go at the start of the main race at Godalming |
Not too hot, no rain and just a light breeze - all very different today whilst we have been back in the office getting things catalogued and online.

Godalming had a tough 10k with a winning time of 37:34 from Macgregor Cox (AFD), which is a strong time on the hilly course, and First Female Katie Wills home in 46:17 (Sevenoaks AC).
Over at Bognor, things were a bit faster with a bit of a sea breeze and flatter for a win from Jo Corbett in 32:57 and Shona Crombie-Hicks the first Female back in 38:19 (Bourton Roadrunners).
It's always good to see people putting in their best efforts and many familiar faces were seen around and about, with some showing some very positive signs of the winter and spring training finally paying off !!
Next Races:
Wednesday evening is the Mundays 5k at 6:30pm with free downloads,
http://bit.ly/Mundays-2015-entry
and then
Sunday is the F3 Events Royal Windsor Half Marathon, 10k and 6k runs
(entries still open http://bit.ly/f3events-royal-windsor-trail-entry)
and also on Sunday we have the
http://rawenergypursuits.co.uk/ REP Arundel Lido Triathlon with free photo downloads too.
After this you need to start planning to win the county 10mile championship race, with the ever popular Dorking 10 on June the 7th http://bit.ly/dorking10-entry a lovely route around Surrey, ending at the Rugby club. 10 miles is becoming an increasingly popular distance - letting you go that bit faster than you might dare at a half marathon !
Correct finishing arms |
Keeping an eye on the rabbit pot-hole for the female race win |
If you're paying attention - this is the correct finishing technique, but not too late near the line ok ! |
Good work from Worthing Harriers' Adam |
Bournemouth still going on about the football |
Wardrobe failure (almost) |
Good work on the seafront donkey |
It's the seaside ! |
Nice and busy on the way out |
For the win from Jo |
All going well and thumbs up to confirm |
Tom put in a good run and continued ongoing form for the AG 2nd |
David on his home run for a 44:27 this year |
Peppa Pig got out in the sun for a bit of fundraising |
So that's the brief update for this week, we have seen a quick revival of people buying National XC images from February before they get removed to the archive (where things are more expensive and you can't get collections) so make sure you don't get caught out by the 3 month cut off here : http://gallery.sussexsportphotography.com/a.tlx?l=pJkKpgB8
Enjoy the training between the rain, it's a bit variable and windy, but hopefully safe for you wherever you go,
until next time
Anthony
