Saturday we were at the National Cross Country Championships at Donington Park on a fast undulating course, with the elite fields of runners hardly separating as they navigated the mud and trails, and then Sunday we were at the inaugural Kingston "Run the Streets" Half Marathon and 10k, with closed roads along the river and inside the town centre itself.

Some images from the National XC champs - fast racing with large entries made it very competitive. Seeing people who usually win big road half marathons in about 200th place is a weird and amazing thing to witness.

Right, next weekend is the Nuts challenge so hours of muddy fun, The classic that is the Steyning Stinger, and the Berkhapmstead Half Marathon - all quality races - fingers crossed the weather forecast knows that we have officially passed into Spring...
