The Worthing Half Marathon 2018 |
The
Worthing Half Marathon 2018 is now live and online (well it was on Monday), as of course is the
Watford Half Marathon from last weekend (apologies for skipping a week of blogs)...
Links to those two are below in the table.
The Worthing course allows us to shoot a lot more photos than usual per photographers - simply because of the course design itself - so we have a lot of images per runner and the light was quite spectacular even if it was a little cold !!
Free Photos !!
In yet more fantastic news - we're very pleased to announce that
Brentwood Half Marathon on March the 18th, organised by the Rotary Club of Brentwood-a-Becket - are bringing all participants free live photos powered by
pic2go.co.uk technology - so enter the race, get your race number, and register today
http://bit.ly/Brentwood-Half
This brings the photography standard for this very popular Essex race up to that of the
English National Cross Country Championships, where once more we will be providing live race photos for everyone at Parliament Hill as the day unfolds on the 24th of Feb - powered by pic2go, just as it was at Nottingham last year - again sponsored by those super nice people at Saucony
Bearing in mind that Brentwood is primarily a top county race to raise money for charity - the pic2go registration allows people to put their Charity Donation URL into the system so that shows with their race photos - so now we not only provide the proof to your friends and family as it happens - we can give them the right place to go as soon as they see it too - which will increase the amount of donations you get for good causes !
Here's the races and recent galleries you need to know about
And now for some race photos...

So, that's this weeks update.
Just a short note for rather a lot of facebook users who ran at worthing - it is against facebook's terms and conditions to post unlicensed (i.e. watermarked) images on their website (you can tell from the writing on our images - if you were unsure). Mobile phone screen grabs are the most common way of copying unlicensed images to then post on facebook.
If you want a very easy and simple way to show your friends on facebook how you did - just use the facebook "share button" - which is right above the images - and that will post a lovely thumbnail and link for your friends to go and have a proper look on the gallery - all for free, and legal and lovely.
In similar news Facebook have a habit of blocking you from their services when they find out that unlicensed images have been used, and if it's a group page - they have a habit of closing the group, without recourse. So our suggestion is don't break facebook's terms and conditions and make sure you only upload licensed (purchased) images without watermarks on, or just use the share button - which is free.
And when you do this (like and sharing links - easy and for free) - you should be finding your friends and sending them a little message of congratulations on their achievements. Everybody likes a little pick-up - so make them happy ! (for free!)
[Ed: did you mention the share button is free ?]
until next time - and see you at the Hampton Court Half Marathon !
Anthony
