After the showers of the last week, it stayed dry for the runners in the Ranelagh Harriers Richmond 10k, near ideal running conditions for the Surrey County Champs apart from the gusty breeze, and it being Fathers day, so some of the competitors had clearly foregone their lie-in and Full Cooked Breakfast as a treat to take part. The commitment was obviously high.

The route takes the runners along the Thames by Teddington Lock for a double loop along the tow path before heading back down Dukes Avenue to the finish. A slightly longer run-in on the grass than the Half Marathon back in May completes the Surrey 10k Champs.

Some of you will start to be getting familiar with the Age Grading system, or know all about it already, suffice to say an almost 87% age grading is pretty fine. Lucy MacAlister managed 85.15% for a time of 35:08 to win the Ladies Race, again a high standard to win a county championships with.

If you're waiting for the Norwood Junior Bike Ride photos - they will be available later today, just as soon as I've finished trying to read helmet numbers (never very easy).
Until later, Anthony
