As ever Mick has done a race report that has been put onto the run247 website here. Which gives me a little more lattitude to put some of the other pictures online...

With the weather forecast for the weekend of rain, rain and a little more rain if you fancy it, London Marathon Sunday was really rather pleasant with puffy white clouds skitting gently over the horizon. With Mick and the REP team putting on the first of the seasons events by adding a 10 mile run to the traditional 10k route, the opportunities for a few more scenic shots across the south downs escarpment becomes a possibility. The only trouble being - how do you get the 10 mile runners and get back in time to get the 10k runners on the course. Time for that photographers trick of omnipresence, also known as hiring that TARDIS off Dr.Who. On the other hand, there was permission to drive around the private estate - so a bit of that got used too.. no speeding of course.

The new 10 mile course map is online here: http://www.mappedometer.com/?maproute=83257

It rained shortly after everything had been finished and cleared up, so obviously the start times are just about right !

Well done everyone on a great run, I hope you enjoy the free downloads - get them out onto twitter and facebook, or wherever else you blog and show friends and family what you have been up to recently.
