Bournemouth Bay Runs 2011 - now live

The Bournemouth Bay Run 2011 gallery is now live and online here:
http://gallery.sussexsportphotography.com/a.tlx?k=3q7zggk

We have put almost 30,000 images online covering the Half Marathon, 10k 5k and Fun Run.

The primary sponsors of the race are the British Heart Foundation - so if you enjoyed the day - have a look at the other events that they are putting on and give them a go !

If you know anyone who ran in the 5k - please let them know about the race photos ! they won't get an official results email from the race organisers because it was a turn-up and run event.

It was near perfect weather in Bournemouth for running any distance. A bit breezy from the west, but otherwise the sun was partially obscured but peeking through every now and again. A great turnout for the races with (as you can see) plenty of regular club and non-club runners.

Unfortunately with such fast 10k runners, you can't be at the half marathon start - because the 10k runners are just finishing and despite my recent purchase order, the Tardis will take a few more years to be delivered.I'll pop back when it is and get the photos.

All ready at the start of the 10k
Off fast at the 10k started by the Mayor. Some enthusiasts built their own grandstand.
10k off past the Pier and along the seafront
Start of the 1k fun run
In front from the start - 301 Jon Sharkey from Bournemouth AC in 33:06

First place in the 5k Fun Run
Steven Way - Bournemouth AC - 1st place in the Half marathon 1:12:57 - as a training run for london. He then went and did 6miles as a warm down read his blog...

This weekend is the main first triathlon of the season - the well sold out award winning Sevenoaks Triathlon which includes free race photos, as well as the F3Events Sportive, 10k and Duathlon at Dorney lake

So that was a record breaking weekend for us - the largest so far this year - so I look forwards to seeing what you are looking at and how.

Right-clicks and Free downloads
Finally - to the 58 people recorded so far trying to right-click and take copies from the screen from the Clandon Park 10k and fun run - don't - as they are on free download  ! Just click on the download button above the pictures and you will get about 60% better resolution.
And yes - as you're wondering - we record the runner number and image number of every right-click on the gallery via google analytics. Just because microsoft enable you steal images - doesn't mean you should - just like in the shops.  Suggestions please on an email regarding what I should do when people right-click on the gallery.

Until next time, enjoy the forecast better weather from tomorrow and train hard ready for the races at the weekend, I've my heart MRI scan on friday, so see you fit and fearless on Sunday.
