| Start of the Watford Half Marathon 2014 |
Another lucky Sunday with the weather on the day, but yet again it was a wet week leading up to the big day. Good luck to all of you with the current forecast for the rest of the week.
With water on every course, Watford Half made the decision to go through a 40m stretch about 4 inches deep at the 10 mile mark, Bookham 10k being an off road Trail run decided to get on with it through some very large and deep puddles near the end, and the Ashford and District 10k rather sensibly decided that 2ft of water was a foot too far in the "how deep can you go" water stakes, changing their route to keep to the dry parts of the race route.
Well done to all the event organisers in making it happen on the day, marshals, St.Johns (cycling through the water at watford several times), and blessed are the Tea Makers !
